The Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Colorado Denver has an opening for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor to commence August 2021, or January 2022. The position is located on the Denver Main Campus and is full-time, 40hrs/week. Full benefits are included.
The department seeks highly motivated candidates who demonstrate the potential to teach at the crossroads of design, theory, and practice, through studios, core curriculum seminars, and technical classes to graduate students. Over the course of this 9-month position, the Visiting Assistant Professor will engage fully in the college through teaching, research and creative work, outreach, and presenting a lecture and/or mounting an exhibition.

The Department of Landscape Architecture delivers a three-year LAAB accredited Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) for first professional degree students who hold either a non- preprofessional or pre-professional bachelor's degree. Assistant Professor positions in the College of Architecture and Planning engage in teaching, research/creative work, and service. The percentages allocated are 40% teaching, 40% research/creative work, and 20% service. The standard academic-year teaching load is two courses per semester.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position has been established at $70,000 – 75,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Terminal degree in landscape architecture or related fields (or international equivalent)
Evidence of design studio teaching and lecture/seminar courses in the area of expertise

Design-Build teaching or practice experience
Professional license in landscape architecture
