The Position:

The School of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning is seeking applicants for a faculty position at the intersection of landscape architecture and urban design. The ideal individual is one who can teach both undergraduate and graduate design studios at all levels. This is a full-time faculty position at the rank of per-tenure assistant professor or tenured associate professor, commensurate with experience. The position will ideally begin August 2021. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in design theory, collaborative design methods, and urban place making. This individual will identify with the artistic side of landscape architecture and be fluent in contemporary urban design approaches that integrate form-making with socio-cultural factors and landscape ecology. UArizona is especially interested in candidates who focus on undeserved and marginalized communities, and who can enrich its faculty diversity.
