Full Membership: Landscape Architecture programs accredited by LAAB (U.S.), LAAC (Canada), or an international equivalent (pending CELA Executive Office Review and Approval).
Associate Membership: A school, department, program, or curriculum in Landscape Architecture with three or more full-time equivalent faculty assigned to Landscape Architecture education, and not otherwise eligible for Full membership. (Designed for programs that are active in education but not yet accredited. Includes all Full Membership benefits except for the accreditation requirement.)
Affiliated Membership - North America: Organizations (i.e., non-profit), associations, corporations, private businesses, institutions supporting LA education or profession, located within North America, and may not be directly engaged in LA practice or education.
Global Partner Program Membership-I: An educational institution, public or private, corporate, professional society, or other organizations participating in, concerned with, or interested in Landscape Architecture education, located outside North America and not otherwise eligible for Full or Associate membership.
Global Partner Program Membership II – An educational institution, public or private, corporate, professional society, or other organizations participating in, concerned with, or interested in Landscape Architecture education, located outside North America and not otherwise eligible for Full or Associate membership. (This discounted category is only available to programs or organizations from countries listed by the United Nations’ Least Developed Countries (LDCs) list at the United Nations LDC list, pending review of applications by CELA Offices for approval.)

Global Partner- Individual Membership-I: International professionals and academics in Landscape Architecture and related fields located outside North America.
Global Partner – Individual Membership–II: International professionals and academics in Landscape Architecture and related fields. (This discounted category is only available to programs or organizations from countries listed by the United Nations’ Least Developed Countries (LDCs) list at the United Nations LDC list, pending review of applications by CELA Offices for approval.)

Requirements:

  • Within the U.S. you must be a school, department, program or curricula in Landscape Architecture accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board. (LAAB)
  • Outside of the U.S. you must be a school, department, program or curricula in Landscape Architecture accredited by the specific in-country accrediting organization OR have more than three full-time equivalent faculty in Landscape Architecture education.

*Schools, departments, programs and curricula which are eligible for Full Membership may join CELA as Full members only.
